Concussion Management
What is a Concussion?
A concussion is a traumatic brain injury caused by a blow or jolt to the head or upper body that causes the brain to move rapidly back and forth. This impact affects brain function.
Symptoms
No two concussions are alike. Symptoms vary amongst individuals, and they may last for days, weeks or even longer. They may also range from mild to severe and can be a combination of physical, cognitive and behavioural changes. Symptoms may appear immediately following injury or within a couple of days. If you think you have sustained a concussion, you should seek medical attention immediately.
